Fisherman finds body floating in water

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information, after a fisherman located a body floating in the water Saturday at 9 a.m. The unknown male subject was hung up on the branches 10 feet from the California side of the Colorado River on the north end of Topock Gorge, said spokeswoman for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Trish Carter.


The unknown subject is believed to be middle-aged and was fully clothed wearing an outer cotton blue pinstriped shirt with a Diamond Cabaret Casino undershirt. He wore long tan pants and white Reebok tennis shoes.

The man is thin built, with blue eyes, brown short hair and a moustache.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident or knows this person, please call the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 753-0753.

The investigation is ongoing, and autopsy results are pending.
