Capt. Chuck Farrington, 69, passed away this last Aug. 12 at the Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired insurance adjuster from California. He had lived in Lake Havasu City for 22 years since his retirement. Chuck was one of the original captains on the old Pan Coyer Ferry Boat going over to the Indian reservation.

He continued working as a captain on several other boats on Lake Havasu, including the Dixie Belle for more than 12 years. He also was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Lake Havasu City for about 15 years and held several positions as a staff officer during that time.

He had many friends in the boating industry and most people just knew him as “Captain Chuck.” He will be missed and thought of often by his many friends.
