Brenda Louise Perry passed away Oct. 15, after a bout with cancer. Brenda was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Hanover, Pa. The family moved to Alamogordo, N.M., in 1950. Brenda graduated from high school in 1964 and worked for Sears. She married and lived a short time in Libby, Mont., and then settled in Seattle, Wash.

She took a job with the post office and retired in 2001 after 33 years. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 2002, to be with her mother. Brenda enjoyed gambling, walking her dogs in the desert, crocheting and knitting blankets for family and friends.

Brenda worked at TCBY Yogurt and A&A Electronics for a couple of years before leaving to take care of her mother Betty who passed away in July.

Brenda is survived by her sister, Linda Ranes and her husband, Tom, of Long Beach, Calif.; two nieces, Jessica Ranes, of Long Beach, Calif., and Erika Kobayashi and her husband, Craig, of Anaheim, Calif.; two aunts, Emmel Bennett, of Circleville, W.Va., and Hazel Zickefoose, of Cleveland, Ohio. She also leaves behind her friends, Mike and Heather Minery, Steve and Carol Marden, and Sharon Cash, all of Lake Havasu City, who helped care for Brenda and made her as comfortable as possible.

A big thanks to New Hope Hospice and Comfort Keepers who made Brenda’s last months peaceful.

Memorial services will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Nov. 14, at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda requested donations be sent to Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404, or to the Ronald McDonald House by going online at rmhc.org.

Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
