Wednesday night.

“We hit some shots,” Knights head coach Ted Darnell said. “It’s the best

I’ve seen them play.”

Knights point guard Chelsea Nutt led her club with 12 first-half points, which included three steals leading to layups and a 3-pointer, and LHHS shooting guard Andrea Collica hit three 3-pointers and two free throws to chip in 11 points before the intermission.

Darnell said Nutt’s ability to steal the ball has improved during the offseason. “She’s got a lot better at that,” he said. “When she does that, we get rolling pretty good.”

After quiet third and fourth periods, Collica added 12 fifth-period points, which gave her a game-high 23. Collica hit two 3-pointers, turned two steals into layups and nailed two free throws.

Darnell said Nutt, who finished with 17 points, and Collica propelled his club. “Andrea, when she hits her shots, we’re rolling,” he said.
