Kimberly L. (Brunner) Newman passed away all too soon, at her home in Mesa Nov. 23. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. Kim was very close to her family and friends. She volunteered multiple hours and was dedicated to those who knew her.

Kim took great pride in her involvement in the community, providing leadership to Colorado River Conference Pop Warner Football and Cheer as the commissioner. She also was the district administrator for Little League Baseball District 9. In addition, she worked to help benefit the United Way.

Kim had a vision and a goal for the tri-state area. She succeeded in improving the quality of the programs through training of volunteers and providing clinics and competitions for our youth’s enjoyment. Kim strived and obtained recognition of our region that will continue to help us all on our road to success. She received the Citizen of the Year award for the city of Laughlin, Nev., for 2007. She also was awarded the Leadership Award from Pop Warner for 2009.

Kim is survived by Del Newman; her son, Mathew Newman; mother, Julie Baltins; father, Kenneth Brunner; brother, Gerrod Higdon; and extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten and always loved.

Services and Celebration of Life will be held at Diamond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2620 Silver Creek Road, Bullhead City, AZ; Saturday at 2 p.m.-Nevada time; 3 p.m.-Arizona time.
