Harriet Lynette Nichols, 82, died Jan. 2 in Lake Havasu City. She was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Hilo, Hawaii, and worked as an electronic engineer in the aerospace industry during the 1960s.



Harriet is survived by sons, Andre Sing, of Washington, D.C., Thomas (Bonnie) Nichols Jr., of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Kimari Sing (Al Somers), of Lake Havasu City, and Yvette Sing (Robert Kupfer), of Kingman; grandchildren, Kapena, Crystal, Dawn, Nickie, Warren, Dwayne, and Thomas (III); eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jennie, Florence, Viola and Violet; very dear friends, Mike and Delores, of Lake Havasu City; and many other family members and friends.

Harriet was preceded in death by her son, Phillip (Bubba) Sing; husband, Thomas Nichols Sr.; brother, Nickie Hulihee; and sister, Mable Perreira.

Memorial services will take place Saturday at Lakeview Community Church, 1699 W. Acoma Blvd., at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dale Ray officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Harriet’s name to the church.
