John J. Klug

John J. Klug, 84, passed away at Havasu Regional Medical Center on Jan. 7. John was born Aug. 29, 1925, in LaSalle, Ill., and was the eldest son of John and Frances Klug. He attended St Hyacinth’s Parochial School and St. Bede Academy High School. He graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a degree in bookkeeping and accounting.


John was an Eagle Scout and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Charlotte Smith from San Antonio, Texas. They had three children: Christopher, Sylvia and Catherine. John was a power plant manager for the Illinois Power Co.

John lived in Lake Havasu City for the last eight years, and he loved old cars.

John is survived by his son, Christopher; daughters, Sylvia and Catherine; and brother, Eugene. His wife, Charlotte, preceded him in death.

Services will be at Parker Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Jan.12, followed by a 1 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and burial at Lake Havasu City Cemetery and then a luncheon back at Our Lady of the Lake Church hall.
