Violet Mae Old passed away Jan. 16 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 87. Violet was born on Sept. 16, 1922 in Los Angeles to James and Nellie (Luyster) Clark.
As her four children were growing up, she became involved as a Scout leader. During her life, she worked in banking, as a postal carrier and also as an owner of a retail store. Two years ago, Violet was baptized in Yucca Valley into the Jehovah’s Witness faith.
Violet is survived by her sons, James R. Old and his wife Debi, of Kelseyville, Calif., and Michael F. Old, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Margaret E. “Pegi” Stubblefield and her husband John and Jacqueline L. Old, both of Lake Havasu City; as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
No services will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Long Beach, Calif.
