Corey M. Shaw
Oct. 6, 1987 — Jan. 28, 2010

Today's News-Herald
Published Wednesday, February 3, 2010 6:03 AM MST

Corey’s life on this earth was very short. He had so much to offer. While he was a part of all our lives, he brought us much happiness, laughter and joy. We were very proud of Corey. He was a kind, gentle and loving young man. Corey’s passion was dirt bike riding and racing.

Corey was recognized by the Lake Havasu City police and fire departments for saving two men from a burning car during a tragic accident on Daytona Ave., March 17, 2009, with the help of another good Samaritan

He was the best son, brother, and friend to all he knew. No words can express how much he will be missed.

Corey was born in Lake Havasu City and leaves behind his father, David Shaw; step-mom, Doris Roberts; sister, Danielle Roberts; his mother, Barbara Peachey; brothers, Cecil Wetezel and Josh Wise; aunt, Kathy Stevenson; cousin, Katie Stevenson; and too many other aunts, uncles and cousins to mention. He also leaves behind his Oma Centa Roberts; his self-adopted grandparents, Martha Jo and Jim Thompson, who were a great part of his life and his grandmother, Joan Wetezel. He also is survived by Tony Covello and Spooher who knew Corey during his short life.

Corey will be missed so very much. We love you, Corey.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Nazarene, 2700 Rainbow Ave., Saturday at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in care of Church of Nazarene, 2700 Rainbow Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 to help with expenses.

Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
