E. Shirley Petrone passed from this world Jan. 25, at her home. She was 86. She and husband, Carl, moved to Lake Havasu City from Spokane, Wash., in 1997.

She was deeply loved and will be remember for her warm, loving personality and the many hats she wore when visiting with her friends at the Senior Center.

She overcame her near total blindness with kind words and selfless caring.

She is survived by her son, Michael Jay. She could often be seen at his music engagements. Thanks to all who took the time to say “Hi.” She attended Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and enjoyed lunches and dinners with her neighbor and best friend, Nyla. She is also survived by her stepson, Mike Petrone and wife, Tammy, of Spokane, Wash., as well as many grandchildren.

Donations to the Dept. of Public Health Senior Center of Mohave County, in the name of Shirley Petrone, will be accepted.

A celebration of Shirley’s life is planned at the Senior Center this Saturday at 2 p.m. where she had so many friends.
