Betty Ann Haynes was born March 19, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas, to David and Bamma Gray. She went to be with the Lord Jan. 6 at the age of 65 in Lake Havasu City.

Betty lived a vintage life. She enjoyed the beauty of nature, antiques, golf and her dog Monique. She married Walter Howard Haynes in 1984, and spent much of her married life in Thompson Falls, Mont., where they owned and managed the Riverfront Motel and Antique Shop.

She is survived by two younger brothers, Larry and David Gray; a son, Steven Parker; and a grandson, Steven Parker, all of Texas.  She was preceded in death by her parents David E. and Bamma C. Gray and her husband Walter H. Haynes.

In the last months of her life, Betty was surrounded with the care and love by the staff of New Hope Hospice. A special thanks goes to Beth, Carmen, Ginger, Kathy, Ken, Lisa, Mirta, Pam, Sara and the entire staff of New Hope Hospice. She also leaves behind her close trusted friend Clause Burlingame.

“A woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s name to New Hope Hospice, 500 N. Lake Havasu Ave., Suite B106, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
