" I see what many of you do in this photo, double standards.

I think the two tour boats should stay and be assisted by all government agencies in any way possible. The boat docked there with the fictitious documentation should be impounded and the owners prosecuted, posse or not. It may have had permits at one time but those will have long expired. At this point it's just garbage in the Channel and an example of someone being able to circumvent laws and regulations = double standard.

As for the EV, that boat sailed long ago but it doesn't mean we can't continue to work toward revitalizing it.

Something else I see is that no improvements have been made to the pedestrian crossings at either end of the bridge. Recessed LED markers get my vote because they are unobtrusive and will have the desired effect.

For any of you who would like to fly and take photos, head on out to the airport. There is a club which has 2 aircraft you can rent for less than $150 per hour with fuel and your choice of several excellent flight instructors. You can bring a friend and make it a photo or tour flight.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not vested in the aircraft the club rents nor am I available as a flight instructor. Just passing on an opportunity for something to do in Havasu. "

" This is a pretty picture. Coming from someone who moved away for college, I agree with havasuvikki. If you have to make such a big deal about simple things then, just leave. "

" The boat in the middle is owned by the Palo Verde Posse, used in extreme water emergencies. Blazo keeps it parked there for easy access. Glad to see desertRat and cal/hav posting on here. They aren't arguing with on another, so I wonder if their new yrs resolution was to be nice to one another?
O'really keep stirring up the pot with cops/court bashing. You keep me entertained! BEERS! "

" oreally..just listened to a guy on talk radio about the (alleged) corrupt police in Vegas....he is a tow truck driver..says the cops pour beer onto seats and it ferments in the heat, they throw drivers licenses out the window like they are playing cards, etc..just have to say..looks like there are (a)corrupt cops all over...one bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch! just as a few bad teachers, preachers, judges, coaches..what have you! "

" For those of us who enjoy the serenity of this lake year round, we would like to point out that the 3rd boat in the picture is clearly painted LAKE VICTORIA. It was used in the movie production of Piranha 3D and is there still incase they need to reshoot any scenes. This is just a typical winter day. There are many days when my husband and I are the only boat on the water, except for a few fishermen. This is heaven. If you don't like it, leave. "

" tazdave how can these boats be illeagle moored to private docks that have been there since the Village was built back in the 1970 building of the bridge? "

Desertrat wrote on Jan 11, 2010 10:13 AM:

" Well, I repeat o'really - most people don't end up in courts so they wouldn't have such a 'birds eye' view of law enforcement. lol This article is about the Bridge. But once again, your obsession takes over. Sad, sad, sad. "

tazdave wrote on Jan 11, 2010 2:16 AM:

" I'm just pointing out the inconsistant enforcement of laws that seem to be written in chalk and enforced as desired by a multitude of agencies. "

    o'really wrote on Jan 10, 2010 11:58 PM:

" Drat, vegas is run by a professional police department and COURTS THAT OBEY THE LAW. Yes big difference because while crime occurs in Havasu and Vegas, the cops are not part of the problem in vegas and if they are they get punished. So yes big difference. Thanks for allowing me to again point out how bad it is here. "

oldone wrote on Jan 10, 2010 9:42 PM:

" The third boat is also a tour Boat,All are morred to private docks. "

    cal/hav wrote on Jan 10, 2010 5:33 PM:

" Well Havasuvian - For those of us who can still see and Have be associated with Havasu for a while you would recognize that one is the Dixie Bell and the other is the Jet Boat-both who do business on the water and are moored overnight every night. As for the third, I'll trust taz dave since he appears to be a lot more correct in his comment than you "

Desertrat wrote on Jan 10, 2010 9:42 AM:

" Looks about right for a December morning. Too cold for swimming! Now look at the photos from the summer holidays! That is a party! Oreally must have been out of town this past 4th of July. Vegas sounds about right -lawlessness everywhere. Peace out. "

oldone wrote on Jan 9, 2010 10:21 PM:

" The Boats in the picture are tour boats tied up to their own docks they have been there for years. There not on the beach.Big difference, tasdave "

Havasuvian wrote on Jan 9, 2010 9:33 AM:

" To tazdave: How can you tell from this one small photo that the boats were moored overnight or that they are conducting business on the water? Can you prove your accusations, take any pictures of your own to support your complaint, file a report? "

Havasuvian wrote on Jan 9, 2010 9:23 AM:

" Why ALWAYS so much nay-saying and negative comments which have nothing to do with the article or, in this case, photo? Surely those of us who have been around long enough to have enjoyed a bird's eye view of our bridge with every flight into or out of Havasu from the island airport hope the photographer took more pictures and will periodically share them with Herald readers. I, for one, would like to thank him. Nice job! "

" Looks like a ghost town with a bridge. What a shame...This could be such an amazing tourist destination...This town needs to start with all new leadership. "

tazdave wrote on Jan 8, 2010 12:16 AM:

" "No businesses on the water" and "No overnight mooring", yet there are 3 boats in this picture that do both. What gives? "
